Cone of Shame

Last week our mammals decided that it was too quiet around the house and decided to have a little fun. I had grapes drying on the counter and Sy decided to get a snack for Harley and himself, though I am sure that Har was egging him on. I had just gone shopping that morning so the boys were able to eat at least 1.5 pounds of grapes, stems and all. It turns out that grapes are extremely toxic to dogs and can cause kidney failure. Needless to say it was an exciting trip to the vet with the two dogs and Owen in tow. The boys had to stay at the vets for 48 hours but thankfully they are both okay.

Harley then proceeded to worry the spot that they gave him the IV so we were back at the vet on Monday. This time Harley came home with the "Collar of Shame." Thankfully this week has been quiet, but then again it would be because Brian is back home.

The one good thing is that Owen laughed in entire way to the vet. Owen usually cries the entire time he is in the car so this was a wonderful change. I might have to start bringing the boys with us more often.....

Har helping himself to the dog food a few days before the grape incident.

The cone of shame - thankfully they have improved from the lampshade version....

Har couldn't get out the dog door so he would stick his head out and bark.

  1. Glad the pups are ok. How is Owen doing on the cereal? Hopefully he's sleeping better.
